Ramune Jacobsen is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and a daily coordinator in a Danish Strategic Research Council project D tect, – an observational study examining associations between early exposure to vitamin D and various disease outcomes later in life.

Ramune Jacobsen has a Master degree in Medical biology from the Russian State University of Medicine (Moscow) from 1994, Master degrees in Public Health from Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Kaunas) and the University of Eastern Finland (Kuopio) from 2002. In 2010 she received a PhD degree in Social Pharmacy from the University of Copenhagen.

Ramune Jacobsen’s current research interests are focused on outcome assessment in wide spectrum public health interventions for chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD, chronic pain. Methodologically, she has been working with surveys, questionnaire validation, register data and epidemiology. Ramune Jacobsen has project management experience in an EU F7 project Dismeval, describing and validating methods to assess Disease Management Programmes for chronic conditions in European countries. Ramune Jacobsen has experience in teaching social research methods in health and supervising social pharmacy research projects for bachelor and master students at the University of Copenhagen.

Ramune Jacobsen has ongoing research collaboration with the Research Unit for Chronic Conditions (Bispebjerg Hospital) and the Section for Social and Clinical Pharmacy (University of Copenhagen).
